Ultrasonic frequency (above 20KHZ) is transmitted which causes severe nervous discomfort in pest like rats causing them to move away from the instrument.
Over a period of time, it is observed that some pest become immune to a fixed frequency, so in order to increase effectiveness, frequency can be changed in this unit.
